Large Group

1. Overview: 

• Game
• Memory Verse (competition last week of the month)
• Video with Questions

2. Your role: 

• Help Kids Sit on Lines: Sit with Kids
• Game: Help Organize Your Group
• Memory Verse: Make Sure all Kids are Standing
• Questions: With a small group, engage kids in questions
• Ending: Have one leader at the front and one leader at the back to lead to classroom

Classroom Engagement Tips and Tricks

1. Story Time: Involve as Many Kids as Possible Throughout

• When kids enter, think about a question that you could have every kid answer and have a quick answer. Ex. What is your favorite color?
• When planning to lead the story, come up with comprehension questions throughout to keep kids engaged. Ex. Where are they in our story right now?

2. Activity Sheet Time:

• When coloring or doing a worksheet, give specific instructions and consider leading through any questions! Ex. Everyone write your name at the top now. Let’s all do number 1 now. Johnny, can you please read us #1?

3. PickUp Time:

• During pick up, have some games or activities ready to keep kids engaged. 
  • Examples: Simon says, sword drills, practicing memory verse, writing memory verse on blank sheet 

4. Discipline

If you have any issues with a child not listening or other behavior, please come get a service captain or coordinator. We do not want one child to detract from the experience for the other children! 

If you can't make it to your scheduled serve day, please follow the below instructions. 

Sub Protocol 

1. Decline in the app: Let us know you can’t make it by marking yourself as unavailable in the app.

2. Try to find a sub: 

• First, see if someone from the opposite schedule can switch with you.

• If not, reach out to people on the sub list by texting them individually.

3. Keep us in the loop:

• Once you find a sub, text or email Jennifer or Amy with their name.
• If you haven’t found someone by Friday, just let us know!
