Joining a small group at GBC is the main way we equip and build community within our church body. Therefore, our groups are for people who attend GBC on Sundays. If you attend another church, we encourage you to invest there in the local body of Christ. Our groups run from September to May, with registration open throughout the month of August. If you have joined GBC after August, we encourage you to invest in community at Churchwide Events, Sunday services, and by joining a Spring Group in January. The first step in our Small Groups ministry at GBC is our Growth Groups, with curriculum covering foundational truths in Scripture and an end goal of enabling you to participate in God’s kingdom work. If you have never done a group at GBC, this is the first one you will join. 

We desire for every person joining a Growth Group to become an active participant and contributor in their group. Through your time and presence, you'll have opportunity to contribute your thoughts, interpretations, and experiences to discussion and prayer that will enhance your entire group's experience. At the same time, you will learn and grow from each of the other group members sharing the very same thing.

Together, you'll grow in your ability to vulnerably meet new people at a deeper level, grow in your trust of one another as you share life, and ultimately encourage and challenge one another in faith and in ministry. And as your group comes to a close, we believe you'll be better equipped to go and make disciples in your community.
