Genesis 2:24 reads, "Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh." It’s important to understand what God's grace does automatically in a spiritual sense takes a lot of work in a practical sense. Statistics state that the average healthy marriage takes an average of ten years to achieve a type of "oneness" or unity between two people.
The marriage ministry at Grace Bible Church aims to provide biblically saturated marital resources and community support to empower Christian marriages to achieve unity for the sake of God's glory.
Marriage Resources: We realize that every individual and couple is unique. We hope that these resources are accessible and usable for your stage of life, and for seeing the beauty of working toward a marriage that reflects Christ’s love for the church. These resources are a good place to find practical and theological ideas related to your marriage, along with those resources in our GBC library that you are free to utilize when they are needed.
Weddings: GBC is available for weddings for couples who have completed a Growth Group and pre-marital counseling. For more information please complete the following Wedding and Premarital Mentoring Request Form. Our Wedding Coordinator, Amy Lorentzen, will contact you following the submission of the form.
Premarital Mentoring: This involves meeting with a mentor couple for ten weeks for discipleship leading up to your wedding day. We ask that you have completed or are currently involved in a Growth Group before signing up for premarital counseling. Simply complete the following Wedding and Premarital Mentoring Request Form, or contact Lincee Ray to learn more.
