MAY 2025
MINISTRY PARTNERS
St. Ebbes: A church in Oxford, England with a ministry to university students. Pray for the student ministry at St. Ebbe’s as they teach and equip university students to make disciples. Pray that over the summer students would continue to engage in community and draw more people in. Pray for the GBC team that will go visit them in May to be an encouragement, and for the church to continue with endurance in ministry.
YoungLife: Brings the good news of Jesus Christ into the lives of adolescents, and helps them grow in their faith. Pray for all the students and leaders that will head to camp this summer. Pray it will be a time where lasting relationships are formed, intentional conversations are had, and ultimately that many will come to fully believe in the truth of the gospel. Pray that after camp, the students would continue to follow Christ.
Noemi William/Coalicion 21: Train and send believers from their local churches in 21 Spanish speaking nations to unreached people groups. Praise God for the growth they have seen and the eagerness of the many churches they have already partnered with. Pray that they would continue to equip many church leaders and congregants. Pray for the training in Spain that is underway, that the Lord would make it clear to those He calls to overseas missionary work.
WITHIN THE CHURCH
Hilltop Adventures/GBC Kayak Trips: Pray for all the trips that will happen over the summer. That it will not only be full of joy, but that deep and lasting relationships would be formed, and people would leave the trip more equipped to go and make disciples.
Building expansion and congregation growth: Pray for our staff and elders to have wisdom as they try to navigate building decisions around expanding church facilities.
Italy Mission Trip: Pray for the team of families that will be heading to Italy this July to help missionaries we support, the Luker’s, with a youth camp. Pray they would be a light to the community there, and have the opportunity to share the gospel.
AS SCRIPTURE TEACHES US TO PRAY
“‘Pray that you may not enter into temptation.’ And He withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and knelt down and prayed, saying, ‘Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done’” (Lk. 22:42). Lord, we recognize that the presence of temptation does not require us to enter into it. Please help us submit to your good and perfect will. Please help us to see sin for the destroyer of true life that it is. Father, deliver us from evil.
