Ministry Partners
Mobley’s: Work in Christian education and leadership development in the Czech Republic while also helping local churches with adult English classes and camps. Pray for the Mobely’s as they teach and raise up leaders in the Czech Republic. Pray for God’s provision as they have unmet financial needs. Pray for the GBC team going to visit them in May to be a blessing, and that the English Intensive Weekend they are facilitating will be fruitful and draw the attendees to Jesus.
Ananias House: Provide training, support, and resources to local churches in the Middle East and North Africa. Pray for protection over believers in Iran, Lebanon, and throughout the region. Pray for wisdom and courage as pastors serve displaced families. Pray for God’s provision as prices rise and resources become scarce. Pray for everyone preparing for leadership training - that fear would not silence their calling. Pray that even in war, the Prince of Peace would reveal Himself powerfully.
Sports Leadership Development: Relational discipleship among collegiate coaches and athletes. Pray for the college athletes as they finish up their school year, and that they would continue to pursue Christian relationships and maintain community. Pray for the team on the mission trip to Hunt, TX, in May to grow deeper in their faith and be the hands and feet of Jesus to that community.
WITHIN THE CHURCH
Easter : Pray for all the men, women, and families who will join us Easter weekend at GBC. Pray for the students coming with Bridges International to the Good Friday service, as many hear about Jesus’ sacrifice for the first time. That Christians would celebrate the immense love and hope we have in Jesus, and non-believers would be spurred on to come to faith.
Men’s Retreat: April 24-26. Pray that men would spend meaningful time with the Lord, make new connections, grow existing relationships, have fun, enjoy fellowship, and rest well. Pray for our speakers (James Schultz, Guy Baber, and Matt Clinger) as they teach from God’s word in order to encourage and challenge the men of GBC.
GBC Missions Giving: Pray for the teams of lay leaders who will meet during April to make decisions on our church’s support for ministries and missionaries in Houston and around the world. Pray that GBC would be great stewards of the Lord’s resources.
Vacation Bible School: June 15-19. Please join us in praying for the children who will come to VBS at GBC this summer - that little hearts and minds would be open to hearing the truth of the gospel story. Pray for more volunteers to sign up as VBS approaches!
AS SCRIPTURE TEACHES US TO PRAY
“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (Matt. 6:9-10). Let your name be revered and worshiped among the nations. Help our lives on this earth sincerely reflect the truth, goodness, and glory of your kingdom.
